Advances in HIV treatments have led to an increased number of people living with HIV (PLWHIV) reaching an older age. Living
with HIV at an advanced age is associated with several clinical challenges for patients and physicians; prevention and management
of age-related comorbidities are of increasing importance in clinical practice. Treatment-experienced PLWHIV represent a complex
population with limited treatment options and requiring nuanced care.
This educational curriculum covers the management of PLWHIV with complex comorbidities, older age, and switching ARTs.
