Type 2 (T2)-high asthma is characterized by greater airway hyperresponsiveness, eosinophilic inflammation, and responsiveness to glucocorticoids. Patients with T2-high asthma have increased expression of cytokines IL-4, IL-5, and IL-13 compared with the levels typically found in a healthy control population.
