Statin Selection in Patients at Risk

About This Series

Statins represent the cornerstone of treating dyslipidemia, which is associated with an increased risk for cardiovascular disease. However, statin selection can be challenging in patients at high risk for cardiovascular disease or in special patient populations. This educational curriculum will focus on educating healthcare providers practicing in numerous specialties, and on the considerations needed when choosing a statin for certain patient populations, including patients with diabetes or prediabetes, the elderly, and those living with HIV.
