Target Audience and Goal Statement
This activity is intended for hematologists/oncologists, family medicine/primary care clinicians, internists, obstetricians/gynecologists/women’s health clinicians, pathologists/laboratory medicine clinicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, and other members of the healthcare team involved in breast cancer screening.
The goal of this activity is for members of the healthcare team to be better able to describe updated breast cancer screening recommendations, based on a new draft recommendation statement released by the US Preventive Services Task Force.
Upon completion of this activity, participants will:
- Assess updated breast cancer screening recommendations, based on a new US Preventive Services Task Force draft recommendation statement
- Evaluate the evidence underlying updated breast cancer screening recommendations, based on a new US Preventive Services Task Force draft recommendation statement
- Outline implications for the healthcare team
