Target Audience and Goal Statement
This activity is intended for primary care physicians, infectious disease specialists, nurses/nurse practitioners, pharmacists, physician assistants and other clinicians who treat and manage adults at risk for serious infection.
The goal of this activity is for members of the healthcare team to be better able to analyze prevalence rates of late complications of hospitalization for COVID-19, influenza, and sepsis.
Upon completion of this activity, participants will:
- Compare the risk for complications associated with hospitalization for COVID-19 vs influenza
- Analyze prevalence rates of late complications of hospitalization for COVID-19, influenza, and sepsis
- Outline implications for the healthcare team
