Target Audience and Goal Statement
This activity is intended for primary care physicians, obstetrician-gynecologists, psychiatrists, nurses/nurse practitioners, pharmacists, physician assistants, and other clinicians who treat and care for women during pregnancy.
The goal of this activity is for members of the healthcare team to be better able to evaluate how prenatal exposure to selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors might affect brain volumes among children.
Upon completion of this activity, participants will:
- Analyze the risk for congenital anomalies associated with prenatal exposure to selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors
- Evaluate how prenatal exposure to selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors might affect brain volumes among children
- Outline implications for the healthcare team
