Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for an international audience of neurologists, pediatricians, and primary care physicians.

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to make tailored, evidence-based management decisions to address both seizure and nonseizure manifestations of different developmental and epileptic encephalopathies (DEEs).

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Guideline-based management of DEEs
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Tailoring an antiseizure medication choice for a DEE according to patient characteristics
    • Managing nonseizure outcomes in patients with DEEs
