Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for ophthalmologists and optometrists.

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to explain what biosimilars are and how they differ in the context of FDA approval of biosimilars in eye care.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Differences between innovator drugs and biosimilar drugs
    • FDA requirements for biosimilars
    • Safety of approved biosimilars
