Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for nurses and nurse practitioners who treat, care for, and/or support patients with diabetes who use real-time continuous glucose monitoring (rtGCM) in the hospital setting.

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to use rtCGM in the hospital.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Gaps in glucose monitoring and management in the hospital setting
    • Benefits of rtCGM on glucose management in the hospital
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Strategies for improving rtCGM use in the hospital by the nurse
