Target Audience and Goal Statement

This educational activity is intended for an international audience of non-US primary care physicians, pulmonologists, cardiologists, endocrinologists, and infectious disease specialists.

The goal of this activity is for learners from different specialties to be more knowledgeable about the importance of vaccinating their patients against influenza and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Burden of RSV and influenza infections across the spectrum of disease in adults
    • Long-term sequelae of RSV and influenza in adults
    • Unmet needs in the management (including diagnosis) of RSV in adults
    • Latest advances in RSV and influenza vaccine development
  • Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to
    • Identify who is at risk for chronic complications of RSV and influenza
