Target Audience and Goal Statement

This educational activity is intended for an international audience of non-US plastic surgeons, aesthetic medicine clinicians, dermatologists, and dentists.

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to use the microtoxin strategy for improving skin quality in facial aesthetics, using 3 mini case studies to highlight factors influencing toxin choice (especially immunogenicity differences between toxins) and best practice in microtoxin techniques.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Rationale for microtoxin strategies vs traditional botulinum toxins
    • Uses of microtoxins vs traditional botulinum toxins in facial aesthetics
    • Clinical implications of immunogenicity differences between toxins
  • Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to
    • Use microtoxin treatments in clinical practice
