Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for diabetes care & education specialists, primary care physicians, diabetologists, endocrinologists, pediatricians, nurses, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to initiate and use continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) in their patients with T2D and interpret data from CGM to inform T2D treatment decisions.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Data supporting use of CGM in patients with T2D
    • Role of CGM in management of T2D
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Practical use of CGM in primary care
