A 66-year-old White female with hypertension and hyperlipidemia visits to discuss recent test results. Blood pressure is stable: the latest reading (132/78 mm Hg) was similar to a reading taken 6 months ago (130/83 mm Hg). Low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C) is 81 mg/dL. Complete blood count is normal, and urea and electrolytes are normal. Her estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) is 63 mL/min/1.73 m2. The electrocardiogram (ECG) is unchanged, with some left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH), which was previously reported. She has not seen a specialist in the last 3 years and states that she feels well, walks 4 to 5 km daily with her 2 dogs, and is fine on her current therapy, which includes enalapril 20 mg daily, amlodipine 5 mg daily, and atorvastatin 40 mg daily.
