Target Audience and Goal Statement

This educational initiative is designed for gastroenterologists, hepatologists, and endocrinologists, including advanced practice clinicians and nurses.

To provide clinicians with information on pathophysiology, early detection, disease monitoring, guidelines, and new and emerging treatments for PBC.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  1. Discuss the current pathophysiologic understanding of PBC
  2. Recognize signs and symptoms to provide early diagnosis of PBC
  3. Formulate care pathways for long-term disease monitoring in patients with PBC
  4. Evaluate recent guidelines and real-world data for approved and emerging therapies for PBC
