Target Audience and Goal Statement

Nurses and other medical personnel involved in care of patients with multiple myeloma.

To educate and provide practical recommendations to nurses for optimal management and care of myeloma patients.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Discuss new and emerging treatment regimens for patients with newly diagnosed or relapsed multiple myeloma including appropriate patient management and patient education
  2. Identify healthcare disparities faced by patients with multiple myeloma who are part of minority groups and strategies to overcome these disparities
  3. Describe strategies to support the patient’s input in therapeutic decisions through shared decision-making
