Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for oncology nurses and oncology nurse practitioners (NPs).

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to understand current and emerging therapies for the treatment of MF; to enhance their skills in managing MF therapies, including side effects; and to work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team to optimize care for patients with MF.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Available and emerging therapies for the treatment of MF
    • Treatment-related adverse events of MF therapies
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Counseling patients with MF about their treatment options
  • Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to
    • Work as part of an oncology care team to manage MF therapies
