Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for psychiatrists, primary care physicians, obstetricians/gynecologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, and other clinicians who treat patients with ADHD.

The goal of this activity is for learners to better individualize treatment for adult patients with ADHD who have psychiatric comorbidities, such as major depressive disorder and substance use disorder.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Relationship between ADHD and psychiatric comorbidities in adult patients
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Evaluating treatment options for adult patients with ADHD who have psychiatric comorbidities
  • Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to
    • Collaborate in an interprofessional setting to develop individualized treatment plans for adults with ADHD and psychiatric comorbidities
