Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for pediatricians, dermatologists, obstetrician/gynecologists, primary care and family practice professionals, pediatric dermatology physician assistants (PAs), nurses, nurse practitioners, and pharmacists.

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to provide recommendations for comprehensive skin care for pediatric patients.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Skin care needs of pediatric patients
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Assessing pediatric patients to determine skin care needs related to the most common skin care conditions
  • Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to
    • Engage in shared-decision-making with pediatric/adolescent patients and parents of pediatric patients to recommend appropriate skin care regimens for the most common skin conditions
