Target Audience and Goal Statement

This educational activity is intended for an international audience of non-US primary care physicians, diabetologists/endocrinologists, and nephrologists (excluding UK and Ireland).

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to understand the importance and practicalities of early chronic kidney disease (CKD) detection in primary care as well as the benefits of renoprotective therapies like sodium glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors in CKD management.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Urgent need for the early identification of patients with CKD
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Using SGLT2 inhibitors with proven kidney benefit in a broad range of patients with CKD
