Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for healthcare professionals (HCPs) who treat, care for, and/or support patients with hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection, including primary care clinicians, nurses and nurse practitioners (NPs), and pharmacists and for patients with hepatitis C and their caregivers.

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to recognize the role of primary care clinicians in meeting global hepatitis C elimination targets.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • PCP's role in HCV elimination goals
    • Best practice in management of patients post-sustained virologic response (SVR) in primary care
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Best practice in HCV management in primary care
  • Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to
    • Manage patients with HCV in primary care
