This educational activity is intended for an international audience of non-US cardiologists, primary care physicians, endocrinologists/diabetologists, nephrologists, and nurses.

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to understand common myths or misinterpretations of evidence around atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) management in order to improve overall patient care.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Common misunderstandings that relate to ASCVD risk and lipid management
  • Have greater competence related to
    • The management of patients at increased ASCVD risk, including those with dyslipidemia
