Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for pediatricians, family medicine physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, hospitalists, physician assistants, and emergency department clinicians.

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to recognize children in foster care who are at risk of mental and behavioral issues and connect them with support individuals and activities beyond the foster care system.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have greater knowledge regarding
    • Recognizing the unique needs of children in the foster care system
    • Team-based approaches to supporting at-risk individuals in foster care with support services
