Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for obstetricians and gynecologists, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and other clinicians managing diabetes in pregnancy.

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to use CGM to improve patient outcomes in diabetes and pregnancy.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Data supporting real-time continuous glucose monitoring (rtCGM) use in pregnant patients with different types of diabetes/hyperglycemia
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Use of rtCGM in maternal-fetal medicine practice
  • Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to
    • Use data from rtCGM to improve the management of hyperglycemia in pregnant patients
