Target Audience and Goal Statement

This educational activity is intended for an international audience of non-US primary care physicians, diabetologists/endocrinologists, and nephrologists.

The goal of this activity is for the learner to be better able to discuss the importance of early chronic kidney disease (CKD) detection in patients with diabetes as well as the benefits of renoprotective therapies in CKD management.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Need for the early identification of patients with CKD
    • Latest results of CKD outcome trials with renoprotective drugs
