Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for psychiatrists, neurologists, nurse practitioners (NPs), primary care physicians (PCPs), physician assistants (PAs), nurses, and other healthcare practitioners (HCPs) who care for patients with sleep disorders.

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to screen, diagnose, and treat sleep disorders.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Recognition of symptoms associated with narcolepsy
    • Relationship between sleep disorders and psychiatric disorders
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Selecting treatments for the clinical management of insomnia
