Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for nurses, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to apply best practices when monitoring and communicating with patients to improve adherence to therapy.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Latest clinical trial data investigating adjuvant therapies in hormone receptor (HR)-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-negative early breast cancer (EBC)
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Applying best practices for communicating with patients with HR-positive, HER2-negative EBC regarding the challenges they may face during treatment
    • Management of adverse events related to oral adjuvant therapies used for treating HR-positive, HER2-negative EBC
  • Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to
    • Communicate with the multidisciplinary team to improve patient adherence to adjuvant therapy
