Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for infectious disease and HIV specialists, primary care physicians, nephrologists, hematology/oncology specialists, allergists and clinical immunologists, pulmonologists, and transplant surgeons.

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to ensure that clinicians understand which patient groups will benefit from pre-exposure prophylaxis with monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) for COVID-19 and be able to provide practical guidance for implementation of these therapies for appropriate patients.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Clinical data for mAbs for pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) to SARS-CoV-2
    • Best practice on implementing PrEP in clinical practice
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Identifying patients who might benefit from PrEP
