Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for dermatologists, Mohs surgeons, oncologists, surgeons, nurse practitioners (NPs), and physician assistants (PAs) involved in the care of patients with BCC.

The goal of this activity is that learners will be better able to manage patients with BCC, including identification of patients who would benefit from treatment approaches besides surgical management.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Clinical data regarding the use of immune checkpoint inhibitors in patients with BCC
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Identifying patients who are not optimal candidates for surgical management of BCC
    • Selecting and individualizing treatment approaches for patients with BCC
  • Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to
    • Engage in interdisciplinary management of patients with BCC
