Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for an international audience of non-US ophthalmologists, eyecare professionals, and all physicians who care for patients with age-related macular degeneration (AMD).

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to assess patients with AMD and identify patients who might benefit from emerging therapies according to latest evidence.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Latest data for emerging GA therapies
    • Characteristic features of atrophy on optical coherence tomography and autofluorescence
    • Assessment of GA in clinical practice
    • Monitoring of patients with GA
