Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for radiologists, radiologic technologists, hematologists/oncologists, and pathologists.

The goal of this activity is for the learner to be better able to assess patients who may be at increased risk for breast cancer.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Criteria used to determine if a patient should be assessed for increased risk of breast cancer
    • Models used to assess breast cancer risk
    • Relationship between breast density and breast cancer risk
    • Predictive value of BI-RADS®
    • Role of contrast-enhanced mammography in breast cancer screening
  • Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to
    • Assess patients at increased risk for breast cancer
