Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for obstetricians & gynecologists (ob/gyns), primary care physicians, infectious disease specialists, nurses, nurse practitioners (NPs), physician assistants (PAs), and other clinicians caring for women at every stage in their lives.

The goal of this activity is that learners will be better able to consider recent advances, perspectives, and strategies to improve their ability to manage women's health conditions throughout the life course with considerations for strategies to overcome disparities in care in an interprofessional environment.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Utilization of current guidelines in the diagnosis of commonly encountered health conditions throughout a woman's life
    • Formulation of comprehensive evidence-based interventions and treatment strategies that will lead to the reduction of modifiable risk factors and improved long-term outcomes for women throughout their lives
    • Utilization of current guidelines to manage commonly encountered women's health conditions at every stage of their lives
    • Delivery of culturally competent care in an interprofessional environment
