Target Audience and Goal Statement

This educational activity is intended for an international audience of non-US HIV/infectious disease (ID) physicians and primary care physicians.

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to understand the factors that contribute to suboptimal adherence, the impact of suboptimal adherence, and how to approach the issue of adherence in clinical practice.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Drivers of suboptimal adherence
    • Consequences of suboptimal adherence
    • Tools physicians can use to identify suboptimal adherence
