Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for dermatologists, allergists/immunologists, nurses, nurse practitioners (NPs), physician assistants (PAs), and other healthcare professionals (HCPs) who care for a diverse population of patients with dermatologic conditions.

The goal of this activity is that learners will improve their knowledge in disparities of care, and be better able to manage dermatologic conditions in patients with skin of color (SOC).

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge in:
    • Skin and hair concerns among patients with SOC
    • Recognizing disparities in care in dermatology patients
  • Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to
    • Communicate with a diverse array of patients about skin disease
