Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for pediatricians, infectious disease specialists, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals who have an interest in COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy.

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to communicate effectively with patients, parents, and caregivers about the importance of vaccination for COVID-19.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Current recommendations for COVID-19 boosters in pediatrics
    • Role of mRNA vaccines in protecting against variant strains of SARS-CoV-2
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Discussing the importance of COVID-19 vaccination with parents/caregivers
