Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for nephrologists, transplant surgeons, and other healthcare providers who treat patients with end-stage kidney disease.

The goal of this activity is that learners will be better able to predict complications and long-term outcomes in patients who have undergone kidney transplant, while also increasing their familiarity with emerging technologies that aim to improve long-term outcomes in these patients.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Common conditions that frequently result in kidney transplant
    • Long-term outcomes associated with kidney transplant
    • Emerging strategies for improving long-term outcomes for patients requiring kidney transplant
