Target Audience and Goal Statement

This educational activity is intended for an international audience of non-US hematology specialists, gastroenterologists, obstetricians/gynecologists, dentists, and other members of the healthcare team involved in the management of patients with von Willebrand disease (VWD).

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to diagnose and manage patients with von Willebrand disease (VWD) according to the 2021 international guidelines, as well as with expert suggestions where guidelines are less clear.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Latest guideline recommendations for the diagnosis of VWD
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Applying VWD guidelines to clinical practice
