Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for neurologists, pediatricians, and primary care physicians.

The goal of this activity is that learners will be better able to order the appropriate tests to arrive at a timely diagnosis of muscular dystrophies.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Demonstrate improved performance associated with
    • Selecting appropriate assessment tools for pediatric patients who present with symptoms of weakness and impaired movement
    • Identifying an accurate diagnosis in a timely manner that explains the initial symptoms of weakness and impaired movement
