Target Audience and Goal Statement

This educational activity is intended for an international audience of non-US and non-UK primary care physicians (PCPs), but also for diabetologists/endocrinologists and cardiologists.

The goal of this activity is that learners will be better able to improve the management of patients with T2D with glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs).

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

Have greater competence related to
- Identification of patients at any stage of T2D who are candidates for GLP-1 RA therapy
- The practical aspects of initiating oral or injectable GLP-1 RAs safely and effectively in primary care
Have increased knowledge regarding the
- Clinical outcomes observed in trials involving GLP-1RAs
