Geriatric Anorexia: Virtual Focus Group

This activity is intended for geriatricians, primary care physicians, psychiatrists, cardiologists, neurologists, endocrinologists, pulmonologists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, dieticians, and other healthcare professionals working with geriatric patients.

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to recognize the current limitations in evidence based clinical management of geriatric anorexia and the challenges in recognizing and assessing the condition.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Recognition of the common risk factors of geriatric anorexia
    • Limitations in available evidence-based management strategies for patients with geriatric anorexia
  • Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to
    • Provide interprofessional team care to patients with geriatric anorexia
