Target Audience and Goal Statement

This educational activity is intended for an international audience of non-US primary care physicians, pediatricians, and pharmacists.

The goal of this activity is that learners will be better able to incorporate patient-centered strategies to assess and treat acute pain early and effectively to avoid chronicity.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Management of acute pain to avoid chronicity
    • Communication of realistic treatment goals with patients
