Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for oncologists, urologists, and other healthcare providers who care for patients with prostate cancer.

The goal of this activity is for the learner to be able to understand the nuances and strategies of treatment intensification in HSPC through discussions of the foundational concepts, intensification strategies in the clinic, barriers to care, and other practical integration aspects of treatment intensification for HSPC.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Optimal candidate for treatment with androgen-deprivation therapy (ADT) and chemotherapy in the setting of HSPC
    • Alternative combination strategies being studied for treatment intensification in HSPC
  • Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to
    • Use treatment intensification strategies to improve outcomes for patients with HSPC
