Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for gastroenterologists, diabetologists and endocrinologists, primary care physicians and anyone who manages patients at risk for nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD)/nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH).

The goal of this activity is that learners will be better able to recognize risk factors for nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH).

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Burden of NAFLD/NASH
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Identifying patients with risk factors for NAFLD/NASH
  • Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to
    • Determine which patients should undergo evaluation for NAFLD/NASH
