Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for pediatricians, primary care physicians, obstetricians and gynecologists, nurses, and nurse practitioners. 

The goal of this activity is to improve clinicians' awareness of HPV vaccination and strategies to increase vaccination rates in order to curb an increase in long-term complications of HPV.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommendations for HPV
    • Impact of HPV vaccination on prevention of HPV-related diseases
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Discussing the safety of the HPV vaccine with patients and caregivers
  • Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to
    • Leverage the interprofessional team to maximize vaccination opportunities
