Target Audience and Goal Statement

This educational activity is intended for an international audience of non-US and non-UK primary care physicians, cardiologists, and endocrinologists and diabetologists involved in the management of people with obesity.

The goal of this activity is that learners will be better able to identify the benefits of novel anti-obesity drugs in people with obesity.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Benefits of long-term weight loss impacting on obesity-related complications and quality of life
    • Achievement of clinically meaningful sustained weight loss with novel anti-obesity medications
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Practical management of appropriate patients with novel anti-obesity drugs to achieve sustained weight loss and better health outcomes
