Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for nurses and nurse practitioners involved in the care of patients with NSCLC.

The goal of this activity is that learners will be better able to understand the role of immunotherapy (IO) in the treatment of metastatic NSCLC and provide strategies for optimizing the care of these patients.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Clinical trial data evaluating IO-containing treatment regimens for patients with metastatic NSCLC
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Personalizing care for patients with metastatic NSCLC
    • Managing irAEs associated with IO-containing treatment regimens for patients with metastatic NSCLC
  • Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to
    • Communicate treatment expectations to patients with metastatic NSCLC
