Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for nurses and nurse practitioners.

The goal of this activity is that learners will be better able to improve the knowledge, skills, and confidence of nurses to safely integrate CAR T-cell therapies into clinical management of patients with hematologic malignancies.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Approved therapies for CAR T-cell therapies in hematologic malignancies
    • Post-infusion monitoring strategies of CAR T-cell therapies
    • Acute and delayed toxicities of CAR T-cell therapies
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Managing toxicities associated with CAR T-cell therapies
  • Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to
    • Educate patients and caregivers throughout the CAR T-cell therapy process
