Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for hematology/oncology nurse practitioners, nurses, and physician assistants.

The goal of this activity is that learners will be better able to treat and manage AML and MDS to optimize quality of life for their patients.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Impact of mutations on treatment selection
    • Available treatment options for patients with AML or MDS
    • Treatment-related adverse events for patients with AML or MDS
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Managing adverse events of treatment for patients with AML or MDS
  • Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to
    • Educate patients about AML and MDS treatments
