Target Audience and Goal Statement

This initiative is intended for dermatologists, plastic surgeons and aesthetic medicine specialists, primary care physicians (PCPs), nurses, nurse practitioners (NPs), and physician assistants (PAs) involved in the care of patients undergoing facial aesthetic treatments.

The goal of this activity is for the learner to be better able to select minimally invasive treatment modalities for facial aesthetic procedures.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Identification of patients who would be candidates for neuromodulators or fillers in facial aesthetics  
    • Role of facial assessment in reducing complications for patients receiving neuromodulators or fillers for facial aesthetic procedures
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Selecting injection techniques when using neuromodulators or fillers in facial aesthetics
