Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for obstetrician/gynecologist, primary care physicians (PCPs), and nurse practitioners (NPs).

The goal of this activity is that the learner will be better able to heighten awareness regarding racial and ethnic disparities in the burden of UFs, decrease the overuse of invasive procedures for the management of UF, and facilitate the use of newer medical therapies in decreasing the burden of UF.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Racial and ethnic disparities in the prevalence of UF
    • Disproportionate use of invasive management strategies for the management of UF
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Appropriate incorporation of newer medical management strategies into patient care
