Target Audience and Goal Statement

This educational activity is intended for an international audience of US and non-US cardiologists, nephrologists, and diabetologists & endocrinologists.

The goal of this activity is to improve awareness of current evidence on sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors and future perspectives on the use of novel mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists (MRAs) to address the risk of progression to chronic kidney disease (CKD) in people with type 2 diabetes (T2D). 

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Clinical efficacy and prognostic benefits of emerging treatment options for CKD 
    • Appropriate selection of current and emerging novel treatment options for CKD in diabetes
